The Touch Grass Project was a youth exchange program under Erasmus+ held in the first week of September 2026, in Trbovlje, Slovenia, focused on the 10th European Youth Goal of a Sustainable Green Europe, digital wellbeing, and building active eco-communities. Touch Grass is a project where participants break free from their everyday lives and connect with nature on a deeper level.

We ended this beautiful week by watching the making-of video that the Hungarian group had been working on throughout the whole project. Seeing all those little moments, memories and faces together on one screen even brought a few tears. A thousand words still wouldn’t be enough to describe how grateful we are for this week and for every single person who was part of it. Thank you to all our participants for bringing your energy, ideas, kindness and personalities into Touch Grass and making it so much more than just a project. We came here as different groups from different countries, and somehow left with memories that already feel impossible to explain to anyone who wasn’t there. One last time — thank you for touching grass with us.
Hungarian Team:
Varga Olivér --- I feel lucky to have friends like this and to have been able to join them on this program. I got to meet so many new people and experience new cultures; I learned something new every day. The timing was perfect (the start of school) It’s a shame we could only stay there for a week. Thank you so much for the invitation; I hope next year’s program will be just as successful!
Magyar Máté --- This was my first Erasmus Exchange Programme, and I can say it was one of the best weeks of my life. My favourite part of the projects was the cultural evenings, where we could know each other's culture even better. Apart from that, I really enjoyed the Mlada olimpijada as well.
Kelemen Zoltán --- This week was really, really great. I learned so much, the food was delicious and I’ll miss every single one of you. I’ll never forget this experience.
Layous Norbert --- This exchange exceeded all of my expectations, I've never thought, such an amazing community could form in a week and could work together so well. The activities included everyone in every possible way, which played a huge role considering teamwork and learning.
Radó Botond --- It was an amazing experience where I met wonderful people, discovered new cultures, and tried so many new things. Everything was very well organized and it is an experience I will never forget.
Sinha Gergely --- I couldn't even imagine that unknown people could become so close to me in just one week.
Gábeli Botond, Hungarian Team leader --- This week has been amazing, and I’m so glad I got to meet so many great people who I could connect with on a deeper level, beyond just the exercises. All the programmes, activities, and time we spent together will always be a special memory for me. It was even more special to have the opportunity to be the leader of the Hungarian team. Thank you so much for this opportunity! I truly hope I’ll be part of many more projects like this one in the future.
